ARTIST ROOMS exhibition opportunities now open

ARTIST ROOMS is pleased to announce new opportunities for organisations to partner with us on our 2022-25 exhibition programme. From single-venue exhibitions to multi-site touring packages, we’ve developed programmes that recognise and respond to the different capacities and needs of organisations and their audiences.

For the first time, ARTIST ROOMS is offering four ARTIST ROOMS which are curated packages. Each of these exhibitions will tour to three or more venues across the UK, with dates available from 2022 through to 2024. There is no fee to borrow and all Touring Exhibition partners will receive a bursary of £2,000 to be used where this support is most needed.

In this round of Touring Exhibitions, organisations can apply to show the work of legendary New York photographer Diane Arbus, the powerful later work of French-American artist Louise Bourgeois, the mesmerising intensity of infinite nature captured by Latvian-American artist Vija Celmins, or the compassion and humanity of Bill Viola’s pioneering video art.

Alongside this new way of working, ARTIST ROOMS continues to offer Partner Exhibition opportunities to develop exhibitions from our wider collection holdings. Between 2022-25, we are offering support to partners to realise exhibition proposals conceived at their venue for their audiences. We want to open up opportunities for showing and animating the collection in new ways. We can support ambitious programming of modern and contemporary art and facilitate the presentation of works of demanding scale and complexity with practical guidance and support.

We are asking organisations to apply for either of these two opportunities by 10am, Friday 3 December. For more information on these opportunities and details on how to submit an application, please contact Amélie Lindsay, Programme Assistant, at amelie.lindsay@tate.org.uk.
