Miranda Stacey, Director - Exhibitions, Freelance
I am currently Director of Programmes (Visual Arts) at the British Council and have over 25 years' experience in exhibition management, primarily for Visual Art exhibitions, but also Architecture and Design. Since 2016, after 13 years at the National Gallery, I have been covering Head of Exhibitions roles in a fixed-term contract capacity for a variety of organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors including the Design Museum, RIBA, Barbican Art Gallery and the British Council. My areas of expertise include international touring and partnership programmes, exhibition planning and strategies, contract negotiations, relationship management, artist commissioning, public programming and audience development. I am passionate about promoting sustainability within the temporary exhibitions sector and increasing access to and awareness of the profession for under-represented groups. TEG provides a vital advocacy role for the exhibitions sector which is underpinned by an invaluable network of expertise and knowledge and is therefore perfectly positioned to support our sector through the challenges of the next decade. Although relatively new to TEG, I am excited about the opportunity to set the direction of the organisation and to secure its long term growth and sustainability.
