The post of Museum Conservator will develop and deliver a long-term conservation, care and storage programme for objects in Aberdeenshire’s Museums’ Collections ensuring all associated professional documentation is maintained to meet accreditation standards.
One of the main purposes of this role will be to maintain the conservation studio and its equipment, manage freelance conservators for specialist work and undertake occasional conservation work for other museums and private clients.
The post of Museum Curator will support museum refurbishments, development of exhibition programmes and participatory outreach across Aberdeenshire for local communities and visitors.
The main purpose of this role is to create and deliver high-quality, engaging exhibitions, displays, public events and learning resources for Aberdeenshire’s Museum Collections.
The post of Museums Development Coordinator will be responsible for the overall governance and management of Aberdeenshire’s Museum Collection and archives, and the ongoing efficiency of daily operations including the staffing team.
A key purpose of this role will be to contribute to the strategic delivery of the museums service including capital projects, refurbishments, exhibition, and outreach learning programmes.
