New Case Study: Touring exhibition branding: Working towards sustainable design

Our new case study is written by Emma Daker, Exhibitions and Project Development Manager at Craftspace, a craft development charity based in Birmingham. They initiate, plan and manage exhibitions which tour regionally and nationally. They work in partnership with the launch venue and collaborate with tour venue partners.

Like many arts organisations they are keenly aware of their environmental impact. and are striving to be more environmentally conscious across all exhibitions and projects. Throughout 2020 they were developing their current national touring exhibition, We are Commoners.

They wanted the graphic design and build to be as sustainable as possible, whilst still being robust and flexible for a national tour. This case study explores their process from commissioning to development and considers whether the outcomes were sustainable.
